jonah has been moving SO MUCH (which is a great sign)! he truly is a mini ninja. it feels really weird but it's also fun. :) so far grandma tischler and aunt allison have gotten to feel him, but he gets kind of shy... also, thanks to awesome texas heat, i can no longer wear my wedding ring. it's a sad day, but one time matt gave me a "because you're pretty" ring, and that has been a nice substitute for now.
this week my sister allison and i went to visit my dad to celebrate father's day. while i was there i rummaged through my nephew reese's old things and got a lot of stuff! thanks to allison, we aren't going to have to buy baby clothes for the whole first year of jonah's life!! thanks, allison and reese! after washing and folding and putting away all the newborn clothes, i am sooo excited to see jonah in them.

i have also been very crafty this week, which means jonah's room is coming along quite nicely. here are some pictures to keep you entertained. it's still in the works, but later when we are totally done i'll put up more.
this is my favorite part, probably because of all the books! i have been collecting them since college, assuming they would be for my classroom. maybe someday they will, but for now they are for jonah. didn't matt do a great job of putting that bookshelf together?? it was a lot of work!
here is a closeup of those three pictures. i found some awesome scrapbook paper at target and cut out silhouettes that matched the paper. these also go nicely with the large abc picture above the bookshelf.
and i had to throw in a picture of the dresser, because matt put that together, too. plus duke really wanted to be in a picture on the blog.
and while i'm uploading pictures for the blog, here i am at 21 weeks. it's really hot.
last night we went to matt's parents' house and ate pizza and watched some old home videos of matt. it was so fun to see matt as a baby, and jonah DEFINITELY has matt's turtle mouth. actually that inspires me to put up some of our old pictures!

i think it's funny that we both had cowboy pictures... obviously matt enjoyed his being taken more than i enjoyed mine.

It is all looking so cute! I remember you mentioning you got your crib from Ikea. Which one did you get?
well we actually got the crib from walmart.com. it's the graco shelby in dark walnut... it turned out not to be as dark as we wanted, but it works!! the rest of the furniture is from ikea though.

It looks good!! I love that you did a different finish for the dresser. =) I totally want a huge shelf like that! Oh well, there's nowhere to put it because of my mural. haha Daddy is going to make a custom one. I got that robot paper too! Love it!! Robots, Dinosaurs and Cars/Transportation are totally our style. We aren't into the whole sports theme because neither of us are very athletic.
