last night matt and i went to visit some good friends, beau and jill, who had a baby about a month ago. well he was getting pretty heavy in their arms so jill decided she needed a sling. (we discussed the issues that have been coming up with babies in slings, and the problems come in when the baby is premature or when the parent isn't paying much attention.) jill is one crafty lady and found a blog that shows you how to make them! (http://www.slingyourbaby.blogspot.com/) i gave it a look and it was super easy, so today we went and found some fabric that i liked at joann's. well, actually matt picked the fabric out and i ended up loving what he chose! we got the rings from the hardware section at lowe's.
here is a closeup picture of one i made for our dear friends, justin and jenny, who are due with their baby jude in august. i cropped this photo and enlarged it so you could more closely see the super cute pattern.
and this next picture is the sling i made for jonah! of course i love apples and pears (probably the teacher in me), so when matt picked this out, i fell on the floor and died because i was so excited!!
now that we know the baby is a boy and his name is jonah, i am going to be getting verrrrry crafty in the next few weeks. i have been holding it in for several weeks, after all!

Too cute!! I really want one just because they're so cute. Maybe I can just use it to carry food or something - a food sling! Never have to walk all the way to the kitchen for a snack again! I'm totally making an infomercial. I'll share some of my profits with you ;)
Awesome job Natalie! They look great!!
