4 weeks

today jonah is 4 weeks old! on thursday he will be one month old. man. he's getting bigger every day, naturally, and we just love him more and more as we get to know him. we are getting into a pretty good routine with him which of course is great for him, but it's also good for us. we finally feel like normal people again. we have been getting more comfortable with taking him out for the day and i know it will keep getting easier. this weekend was really great, because saturday jonah went to his grandparents' house and matt and i got to go on a date. i got super tired pretty quickly (that was the most i'd done in a very long time what with bed rest and just having a baby and all) so we ended up picking him up early and coming home to take a long nap. but sunday we were out all day again and i never really felt exceptionally tired. we even took a walk! yay!

this week we decided to get rid of our cat, duke. my mom is going to take him next weekend. we just can't give him the attention that we used to with jonah here now. plus duke ruins everything and i just got some new bedding that i'd really like to last for a long time. we have had to buy new sheets twice in a month recently because duke tore a hole in them. lame! no one afford to keep buying sheets like that.

i think i've updated since i got on medicine for the postpartum depression... well, things are a thousand times better now. that was literally the worst week of my entire life. i don't see how anyone can just "wait it out." i'm so thankful for my doctor's quick response and the support of his nurse that i got them some sprinkles cupcakes to say thank you. yum! i also got some for matt and i, although today we are supposed to start being healthy again. we both have some baby weight to lose! hehe.

well i think that's all for now. next week is thanksgiving and i'm so excited because matt has the whole week off. i know he will be excited to get to spend time with jonah and me that week, too. that monday my grandpa and aunt are coming into town and we are excited for them to meet jonah. i can't believe thanksgiving is here by the way. having a baby makes you lose track of time fast. but it's great. :)
