changes

well quite a bit has happened since i last updated...

this past weekend we sent duke to live with my mom. we miss him but he is getting a lot more attention there and it's nice to not have to clean up after him anymore.

also, yesterday my grandpa, papa, passed away. we have been expecting it since this summer, but of course it's still sad. i'm very thankful that the postpartum depression was under control before it happened.

also yesterday my other grandpa, papa tom, and aunt lisa came into town so we went to visit with them. they fell in love with jonah (but who doesn't?).

AND yesterday we found out that we had a free in-home photography session as a follow up from what we had done in the hospital, so they came out today and set up their studio and took some pictures of jonah and us. these were the first pictures we had of us all as a family so i'm excited to see them. i'll post some on here when we get them back, but it'll be quite a while. the pictures of jonah were too cute.

jonah is getting stronger every day. he has been holding his head up better and better and he has also been going longer in between feedings. he has found his hand a couple of times which is so cute, and he has smiled at us a few times but i do realize that this could still just be the reflexive smiles from gas. still, it's SO cute!! and he makes the sweetest noises when he sleeps. man i just love that boy.

well thankfully matt has the week off this week so i'm going to quit typing on here and go hang out with him while jonah finishes his nap. i hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving. we all have so much to be thankful for!
