37 weeks

at the doctor's office today, nothing was worse, although i have been feeling much worse. everyone is acting like it's such a great thing that things aren't getting worse, but i'm like... hello!! if things got worse then he could be here faster! i really really want to meet jonah and kiss him and snuggle him and just look at him. but also i really want to feel better. today the doctor said i should start preparing my mind to have a c-section because, "he's a big baby, and you're not tall." plus when you have toxemia/preeclampsia (it's the same thing), it becomes more common to need one. at first i was bothered by this realization, but i actually know quite a few people who have had c-sections, including my mom, and she made me feel better about it. basically there are going to be pros and cons with each method of delivery, and i'm ready to do whatever is best for jonah and me. i go back thursday so maybe that'll be the day... we shall see.

also i just wanted to express how grateful we are to everyone who has shown how much they care since i started having complications. we have had friends bring us dinner; i've had a friend and my sister come do my hair since i can't get to the salon; i've had friends come and visit me so i stay sane; and a lot of people are constantly calling or messaging to ask how i am doing and telling us that they are praying for us. we are so appreciative and thankful for all of this. i don't think there is a thank you note long enough that could express our gratitude!! God has truly blessed us with love all around!

Hey lady! I didn't know that you had pre-e! I'm glad to hear that you and Jonah are ok. You are almost there! And I ended up having to have an emergency c-section. It's not as bad as you think. The recovery sucks, but it's manageable. But hey, you get to stay in the hospital longer and that is DEFINITELY a plus. (stay as long as you can). It is nice to have everyone taking care of you because that will all go out the window when you get home. Good luck and hope you stay feeling better!
