poor baby

jonah has been sick! he had a fever last wednesday and the doctor said he had a respiratory infection, but it just keeps getting worse. except maybe it's one of those things that gets worse before it gets better... i don't know. either way, i hate seeing him suffer. that with teething makes life in this home quite stressful. i don't think i'm even going to get dressed today.

we had a busy weekend! (which i'm sure didn't help poor sicky jonah...) saturday we went to a park and had a 6 month birthday party for J and it was a lot of fun! it was psychotically windy, though, and half the time we had him covered up in his stroller. poor baby.

easter was a nice day. i served at church in the morning with the 1 year olds, but got sent home early because everyone went to church saturday night so there just weren't very many kids. then matt, jonah, and i all just spent time playing together and reading and relaxing before we went to garland. we had a little easter egg hunt for the kids (sad that i'm not included in that anymore haha), and ate some roast that allison made. yum scrum!

over the past few weeks jonah has been sitting up better and better. now we can just put him on the floor and let him play for a long time before he decides to topple over and roll around. he has also been rocking back and forth on his knees, and this weekend he started to bring one knee up when he does that. oh, and he's already wearing 12 month clothes. he grew out of 9 month stuff way faster than anything else!!

you want to know something crazy to me? so you know i had postpartum depression and i got on some medicine for it... i think i mentioned that i ended up being allergic to it, but if not, there's the mention. anyway, i had gone to a dermatologist three times for the rash that came with it, and she said, "you're not in the clear until it's been 16 weeks since you've been off the medication." goodNIGHT. it literally took the entire 16 weeks for that to go away. i was beginning to fear i'd be itchy for the rest of my life. but it's finally gone!!! praise the LORD! i still can't believe it lasted so long, though. geez.
