boom boom boom, let me hear ya say weyo!

ok i realize i already posted today, but i was super tired and didn't feel like writing out some updates about jonah. also, these may bore you, but this blog is also a kind of journal for myself to note jonah's milestones... maybe after his first birthday i'll go back and print some out into a little book for him to read when he's older. awww! that would be so sweet! i'm doing it. the end.

some new updates with the punkers:

-i already told you he's getting up on his knees. he's doing it more and more. and today i noticed he has started scooting backwards!! that is cray-cray. he has been turning around like a little breakdancer for a while in his crib, and i see him doing it when we play on the floor, but now he's scooting back. it's so amazing to watch him grow.

-also i got an article in my email this morning about the signs of teething, and jonah has some of them. i looked in his mouth and i think he is teething! i'm not 100% sure since i am neither a dentist nor a pediatrician, but i think i see a little white spot in there beneath his gums. plus he's drooling more and eating a little less from his bottle.

-also he's eating three meals a day. i tried to give him some prunes that i made for him yesterday but he was less interested in those than he has been in everything else... i'll give it a few more tries though. a lot of things you read say it might take up to 10 tries before a child decides they like something.

-today in target he did a motorboat noise. he had never done that before! i laughed so loud and called matt in the middle of the store. yay for looking like a dork mom! :)

-today we went on our first walk in his stroller, big boy style. in other words, he was not in his infant car seat. i put him just in the stroller. he LOVED it!! he wouldn't even look at me when i came around the front to say hi to him because he was just looking all around.

-i can tell his nap schedule is changing. this will be good when he's down to 2 good naps a day, because i'll be able to plan more things with people. right now he's getting out of the 3-hour cycle, with a few 1-hour naps throughout the day... well it might be boring to explain, so i'll just say that i can tell he's growing in that way, too.

ok i think that's all. now i need to go make him some more baby food because we are almost out! today's project: butternut squash. and maybe some more sweet potatoes. and maybe peas. yum!
