hot hot hot

so this has been the hottest week of summer so far with temperatures of at least 106 each day. and apparently it's a little dangerous for pregnant people! i went to the doctor and jonah is fine, but my blood pressure was pretty high (especially compared to my awesomely normal blood pressures up to this point). there's nothing to worry about unless other symptoms start to occur like crazy swelling, horrible headaches, and spots in my vision. i haven't had any of those. i spent the rest of the day just relaxing and letting matt make dinner (thank the Lord he can cook!) and then now i'm supposed to just be careful about going out in the heat. it kind of sucks, because there's only so much you can do to keep cool, and i am always very careful about it. but hopefully it will rain this weekend and make things a LITTLE more bearable.

and here's something exciting: jonah just had hiccups for the first time that we noticed! it was so cute!! i doubt we will ever think hiccups are that cute again, but it was exciting to see my belly bounce every second for a minute or so.

here's a video of jonah moving. he was going nuts for a while before this, so we figured we'd try to get something on film. we were able to get a little! if you can, skip ahead to 35 seconds, because nothing happens till then. then it stops at 50 seconds. we can't edit it on our computer because our camera video files are in a format not compatible with our mac.
