here are a couple of highlights i'd like to share from our getaway:
-when we first got to the cabin, we saw a baby fox eating a rabbit and a tiny bright blue bird. awesome!
-oreo cakesters are delicious.-matt's mom broke her knee water skiing! major bummer, but at least there's a cool story to go with it.
-i realized how much i looove cabins in the woods (reminds me of my childhood because my grandparents had one in athens, tx) and being on the lake.
-the boat stopped working the last day (thank goodness it was the last day) so we had to have someone tow us in. of course, they were from texas!
-i don't hate oklahoma as much as i did before. i'd actually say i kind of like it now.
-if you ever get to go there, do it.
-here's matt wake boarding.
yesterday i went to the dentist (no cavities! yay!). this was supposed to be the appointment where i got xrays, but i didn't since i'm pregnant. anyway, the point in me telling you this is that the hygienist could tell that i was pregnant! a stranger could tell i was pregnant! this may seem so lame to get excited over, but you go through this phase where only the people who really know you can tell, and everyone else thinks you are probably just fat. so i'm glad to be obviously pregnant now. haha! however that obviously pregnant look means that i am getting bigger and more uncomfortable. i'm so thankful to have matt around to help me out, but i know both of us are just getting through with the knowledge that this won't last forever. plus as soon as i feel jonah kick, the discomfort doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. i'm so excited to hold him! i can't say that i can't wait, because i can wait; i know it will be difficult to have a baby and i want to try and get as much enjoyment out of pregnancy as possible instead of rushing it away.
guess what! tomorrow is our anniversary! we will have been married for three years. i'm so excited, because matt is taking the day off. we are going to eat sushi (don't worry; i only eat the cooked stuff) downtown and then go see beauty and the beast the musical. (i LOVE musicals and plays!) i think it's going to be an awesome day.
