wow! do we have a lot of exciting stuff going on! last friday we moved out of our one bedroom apartment and into our two bedroom apartment. it was a lot of work, but we had a lot of help from matt's dad and brother joey and some great friends, josh and brittany. i couldn't do too much to help, so it really was a blessing to have them there that day to move everything and help us clean the old apartment. matt (and i, a little) have been working diligently to get everything unpacked, and we are pretty darn close to being finished! woo hoo!
another exciting thing that happened friday night is that i felt the baby move!! it went "thump, thumpthump". wow. it was so cool! i have felt him or her move every day since then.
on sunday my grandpa, papa tom, came into town, so we got to visit with him for a little bit. we don't get to see him and omi enough. we miss them a lot, so it was nice to get to see him for a little bit.
on tuesday (yesterday), we went to the doctor... he said, "well, you guys are my last patients of the day, and i don't have much going on... what do you say we take a look at that baby?" we were so excited! the nurse was laughing at me because i couldn't contain it, but you have to understand that we haven't seen the baby since it was a blob on the screen! it was amazing. we are 18 weeks, but the doctor couldn't see if it was a boy or a girl yet, because it had its back turned towards us. we did get to see its little hands and legs and feet and head. and it moved so much while he was doing the sonogram that i felt it in me, and he said, "that was the head." it looks like we may have a little rockstar on our hands! how sweet. also, matt's brother got engaged last night!! [don't be mad at me for putting it on the internet already; no one you wanted to tell will read this. i promise. :)] woo hoo for them! they are very happy together and we are so excited for them.
oh! also yesterday we bought the crib.! yay! cribs are stinking EXPENSIVE!! if you go into babies r us, you won't find much for under 400 dollars. we didn't even pay that much for our bed! we ended up finding one on walmart.com for a much more reasonable price, especially with shipping only costing 97cents.
finally, i "graduated" from physical therapy today! that is a relief because that means my back pain is much better, which means my muscles are much stronger, which means things will go more smoothly for the rest of the pregnancy. yay! i even got a water bottle as a graduation gift from baylor. yessssssss! i love water bottles.
when we get the internet up in our apartment, i will upload the pictures we got from the sonogram yesterday. stay classy!
